One day course covering the core principles of First Aid to assist participants in dealing with situations both at work and home. Includes CFR with certification and practical First Aid Session.

The PHECC FAR programme is designed to meet the first aid and basic life support requirements that a person known as a “First Aid Responder” may encounter in the workplace. In addition to CFR skills the FAR possesses defined skills in the further management of a patient who has become suddenly ill or injured in the pre-hospital environment until emergency services arrive.

This half day fully certified course is the first rung on the ladder of pre-hospital emergency care. Recognised by the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) it teaches all the basic life support skills for victims of stroke; cardiac arrest; heart attack; choking as well as the relevant legal issues and the administration of aspirin.

This course contains vital skills required at all the grades of pre-hospital care. A pocket face mask, RED card and PHECC CFR manual is given to each student on this course. There are no prerequisites required to commence the CFR community course.

Basic fire safety training is a legal requirement for all employees. In this half day course, we cover basic fire safety, awareness of hazards, how to respond and act in the event of an emergency and the use of fire extinguishers.

Employers are legally required to prepare an Emergency Plan which outlines how the workplace will be evacuated in the event of a fire outbreak. Fire Wardens are designated the responsibility of executing this plan in an emergency situation. This course aims to ensure that Fire Wardens are aware of their responsibilities including arranging fire drills effectively.

This course is aimed at all managers, supervisors or employees with
responsibility for fire safety within an organisation.
