The aim of the course is to provide you with the knowledge skills and attitude to work at heights safety and in compliance with relevant legislation. The factors/causes involved in falls from heights, legislation, ladder safety, fall arrest systems inspection and care for body harness and lanyard.
Working at heights is any workplace where a person could be injured by falling if precautions were not taken, a person could fall a distance liable to cause personal injury.
Working at height remains one of the biggest causes of occupational fatalities and major injuries.
Working at height regulations are designed to prevent falls in the workplace and keep workers safe. Your employer must prevent you doing unnecessary work at height wherever possible. Excluding work-related illnesses, falls from height are the most common cause of workplace deaths.
