Manual Handling 3 Mar

The aim of this course is providing the learners with the knowledge skills and attitude to be able to perform manual handling task correctly safely and in compliance with legalisations. It equips participants with the skills and know-how to assess whether a load is safe to carry. Correct manual handling training also educates participants about the spine and how easily back injuries can happen which is helpful not only in their working lives but also for their personal well-being. Back injuries are the most common cause of non-fatal injuries in the workplace.

On completion of the course learners will be able to access the suitability of a load for lifting, lift safety, carry a load correctly, push and pull a load correctly, put down a load correctly.
